Welcome to Shadow Wood Manor Wedding & Event Venue. Named after the favorite family horse, Shadow, this property was originally a horse ranch nestled in the heart of Moody, Alabama just minutes from Birmingham, Gadsden and Anniston.
It was a dream of turning this ranch into a wedding & event venue that inspired owners, Joe and Karla Johnson, to move forward with the idea.
This beautiful venue features a rustic setting with a horse barn of over 4000 square feet into the most beautiful wedding venue that includes cathedral windows, elegant chandeliers, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, large covered patio, covered porch, prep kitchen, bathrooms, brides room, and more with HVAC and wheelchair accessible. Shadow Wood Manor will accommodate up to 100 people.
The property boasts of a beautiful covered bridge, ponds, open fields, fences and more for the most picturesque landscaping to make the perfect wedding for the perfect bride and groom.
Joe and Karla's home is also on the property. The barn has a number of family heirlooms as part of the construction such as old barn doors and ladders that were originally part of Karla's grandparents barn.
